Affogato

Affogato is an Italian dessert. It is usually a scoop of ice cream or gelato with a shot of hot espresso poured on top. We were first introduced to it at a restaurant in Arizona and absolutely loved it. They served it with chocolate bundino, a brownie with a scoop of vanilla gelato, topped with a shot of hot espresso. It was absolutely delicious!

Since then, we have recreated many versions of affogato at home and none of them has disappointed! Here is one simple version for you to try! Feel free to use it as a guideline and put your own twist to it. The possibilities are endless!

Ingredients

US Metric

• 1 1 brownie

• 1 scoop 1 vanilla ice cream

• 1 shot 1 hot espresso

Directions

• Place brownie in a bowl.
• Scoop ice cream and place on top of brownie.
• Make 1 espresso shot and pour on top of ice cream and brownie.
• Enjoy!
