Matcha truffles are made by combining matcha, cream, and white chocolate for an incredible treat!
Our family loves sweet treats with matcha. It is a popular flavor often used in Japan. You can often find Matcha Kit Kats and Matcha Oreos in their shops.
Matcha truffles were a quick, homemade confectionary we could enjoy without a lot of work in the kitchen.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon 1 matcha powder (culinary or ceremonial grade recommended)
5 tablespoons 5 heavy cream
8 ounces 8 white chocolate
Directions
- Line a 5-6″ dish wish parchment paper.
- Whisk the matcha powder into the heavy cream in a heat safe bowl.
- Warm the mixture on medium heat on a double boiler.
- Add the white chocolate chips to the mixture.
- Continue to mix on medium heat until chocolate is melted and the mixture is uniform in consistency and color.
- Pour into dish.
- Refrigerate for 5 hours or overnight.
- Cut into one inch squares. Store in a closed container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Presentation: If your dish has rounded edges, cut off the edges first for more uniform pieces. You may also dust the pieces with more matcha powder for a more “finished” look.
