Crockpot Chili

Crockpot chili is one of the easiest dinners for me around here! Thankfully it is also another way for me to use ground beef up! This recipe is so simple using a few pantry staples. The only thing that sometimes isn’t in our kitchen is the bell pepper. Thankfully, we’ve had a great harvest of bell peppers from our garden the last 2 years. I sliced those up and froze them since we couldn’t use them fast enough!

I know, I know… There’s always the debate about if chili should have beans or not! This is one version that does have beans. Could you make it without? Sure! Give it a try and let me know how you like it!

This chili is a comfort food that is good any day of the week, but especially nice and warm on those cold nights! Give our chili recipe a try and see how easy it is to feed your family a quick and delicious meal!

This crockpot chili recipe is easy to throw together with a few simple pantry staples! It is versatile too if you want to change it up!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 1 ground beef, browned, drained, crumbled

  • 1 small 1 onion, diced

  • 1 small 1 bell pepper, diced

  • 16 ounces 16 pinto beans, canned

  • 14.5 ounces 14.5 diced tomatoes, canned

  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 garlic powder (or 2 cloves)

  • 1 tablespoon 1 chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon 1 kosher sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 ground cumin

Directions

  • Put all ingredients in the crockpot and mix together well.
  • Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings! Possibilities are cheese, sour cream, corn bread, etc!

Notes

  • You can change our the ground beef for deer, bison, venison, etc.
  • I have cooked it for 3 hours and it is still great since everything is cooked already.
